Mr. Abram C. Hughes

Mr. Hughes grew up just a few miles down Route 313 in Doylestown where he attended Doyle Elementary School, Lenape Middle School, and Central Bucks High School West. Following high school, he enrolled at Bloomsburg University where he majored in mathematics and secondary education and ended up meeting his wife, Meghan. After graduation, his dream job began at Souderton Area High School where he taught math and became the mathematics department coordinator. Engaging students in all levels of math through problem-solving, technology, and questioning became his greatest passion.

After six years teaching everything from Algebra I to AP Statistics, Mr. Hughes made the jump to a more prominent leadership role in the Souderton Area School District. As the assistant principal at Indian Valley Middle School, he remained focused on engaging students in the classroom while also building a positive school culture and contributing to social-emotional learning.

Mr. Hughes prides himself on being a lifelong learner and will always be looking for ways to learn from the administrators, teachers, and students at Pennridge High School.
